Altogas follows propane industry safety standards throughout their service including setting a propane tank. Propane tanks require a minimum 10 feet from your home and property line. Altogas sets a variety of propane tanks including: 250 gallon, 500 gallon and 1,000 gallon.<\/p>

For safe propane delivery service, you propane tank should sit within 80 feet from your driveway. The Altogas delivery crew do carry\/use a 100 foot hose to fill the tank, but reserve this for getting around obstacles like cars and snow banks.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Your propane tank gauge reading shows how much propane is currently in your tank. Altogas fills tanks to 80%, following industry standard as propane requires room to expand safely inside the tank.<\/p>

To estimate how many gallons of propane you have left, multiply your gauge percentage (actual reading) by your tank size.<\/p>
